Thank you for providing care through the storms!
When Addie discovered she was pregnant, she knew she needed help… someone she could talk to… someone who could help calm her anxieties. A free session with a professional counselor was a tremendous blessing.
However, Addie’s appointment was Monday, the day the city was closing down in preparation for the anticipated storms heading towards South Louisiana.
In the past, closing in preparation for a hurricane meant rescheduling any appointments on our calendar.
But now we can call these clients and offer virtual appointments (as long as the power isn’t out, of course).
We love to look for silver linings. This year has presented us with a few challenges to say the least. Who could have predicted what 2020 would bring? But the Lord knew, and we’ve felt His guiding hand through it all.
A silver lining to last spring’s shutdown? — Incorporating a system for remote care.
Now, instead of rescheduling appointments when we’re under threat of bad weather, we’re able to offer the option of a virtual visit since the infrastructure for remote care is in place.
When caring for women in unplanned pregnancies, immediacy is key. Thankfully, this week’s storms did not greatly affect our clinics. However, whether we’re experiencing a pandemic shutdown or inclement weather, we are here for women.
And an even bigger silver lining around the challenges of this year? — YOU!
We’ve been blown away by the outpouring of love and support these last several months. The need for life-affirming care has indeed increased dramatically. But because of you, we’re continuing to meet that need!
It hasn’t been an easy year, and we have a long way to go, but the Lord is working through YOU to keep Woman’s New Life Clinic a true beacon of light in the darkness.
Thank you!
